Endings & beginnings

I admit being guilty of blog neglect!
And other than having been quite busy with other things there are no excuses.
We did some traveling, unexpectedly had to move places, before being fully settled we were immersed in the annual Festival sur le Niger and so on.

The good news is that the office is up and running in our new home and that stories will be written and posted.
The sad side is that we had to let go of our loyal employees Amadou and Assan, since we do no more have any guestrooms.

The memories of our time together at our riverside paradise will last though.
With the end of that phase, another one has started, creating room for new things for all of us. And whatever direction the flow may go, it will most certainly be interesting again.

It’s also the end of the ‘big season’, November till February usually being the season with nice temperatures, much loved by tourists. And it offering some extras such as the music festivals.
The hot season is about to start. A season that may be a bit ‘hotter’ than other years, due to the unquiet situation in the North and the presidential elections coming up. Time will tell.

It does not withhold us from looking forward. We’re in the process of exploring new grounds and creating beautiful journeys for the 2012-2013 season.
